Sind had a brief revival on the third morning in Lahore before Bilawal Bhatti set about their lower order and helped bowl them out for 235, giving Punjab a 261-run first-innings lead. Off the next ball, Mohammad Khalil, who had done the damage on the second evening, dismissed Ahmed for 48. Sind were in trouble again, and Ali Asad tried to hold things together. Bhatti struck three times in the space of 6.1 overs, and when Khalil completed his five-for by dismissing the No. 11, Asad was left stranded on 33.Punjab decided to bat again, and reached 30 for 0 by stumps.
